Meet Max! Max is an approximately 1.5-year-old ShihTzu mix who is now looking for his forever home.
Max absolutely loves playing with other small dogs, is very friendly with people and does great travelling in the car. He is obsessed with dog toys and although he will try and rip them apart, he has a few favourites that he carries with him throughout the day.
Max does have some work to do on being comfortable when his people leave the house. He has anxiety issues that his new... family will need to be committed to continue working on. He will vocalize how unhappy he is and may become destructive. To help him with this Max is crated when left alone and is currently taking calming medication (costing approx. $85/monthly).
Although Max is very friendly he does not enjoy being overly handled for grooming so his new family will need to be committed to working with him on these issues.
Max is fully housetrained and responds to his name, but has not yet mastered other basic obedience (sit, stay, etc;). He can be jumpy and grabby and it is HIGHLY recommended Max's new family enroll him in obedience classes.
